ICARE Foundation Thrives: Scaling Social Impact Through Tailored Support from PrISE Cohort

ICARE Foundation Telangana was founded with a strong commitment to making a positive social impact in the community. However, the organization faced significant challenges in maintaining financial stability while trying to expand its services and reach a larger beneficiary base. The founder struggled to balance the demands of business growth with the need for sustainability.

“Before engaging with the PrISE Cohort, I faced numerous challenges. Securing the right talent and expanding our reach felt like insurmountable hurdles,”  founder Naresh Udutala recalls. The pressure to adapt to changing circumstances was a constant source of stress.

Upon discovering the PrISE Cohort, the founder saw an opportunity for transformation. The program promised tailored support to address the unique challenges faced by social entrepreneurs like themselves. With hope for a brighter future, the founder enrolled in the program, eager to turn obstacles into opportunities.

Over six months, the team participated in a series of focused sessions covering essential topics for growth. Training on human resource development proved particularly impactful, enhancing the capabilities of the team and fostering a collaborative environment. Insights into creating a sustainable business model for social ventures and effective record-keeping practices were invaluable for improving operational efficiency.

“The strategic direction we received for expanding our services in the market played a crucial role in driving our organization’s growth,” the founder explains.

What distinguished the PrISE Cohort was its personalized approach. Comprehensive needs assessments and surveys were conducted to identify the specific challenges faced by each founder. This customized support ensured that founders could effectively focus on scaling their social impact.

For ICARE Foundation, a significant challenge was expanding their reach while staying true to their mission. Through PrISE, they received strategic guidance on sustainable scaling, along with mentorship on human resource development. Meetings with impact investors opened doors for collaboration and funding that the organization hadn’t anticipated.

As a result of their participation in the PrISE Cohort, ICARE Foundation achieved remarkable outcomes. They were assured of a ₹40 lakhs grant from KeyBlocks through successful mock pitches. Additionally, they identified new funding sources, including government programs, CSR initiatives, and collaborations with NGOs.

The organization also established partnerships with various NGOs and fund managers, broadening their funding options and business opportunities. Knowledge gained in marketing and lean strategies equipped the team to effectively tackle market challenges.

Post-incubation, ICARE Foundation refined its business model for sustainability and scalability, crafted targeted marketing strategies to engage their audience, and improved financial management through budgeting and revenue insights.

The founder proudly notes, “We’ve learned to adapt to market changes and competition, fostering a culture of innovation.” The increased health awareness sessions and health camps organized by ICARE Foundation allowed them to expand their social impact, reaching more communities than ever.

With new partnerships and an expanded geographical reach, the founder could finally see the vision of ICARE Foundation come to life. “With the support of PrISE, we are not just surviving; we are thriving and making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.”
