The Center for Social and Responsible Business (CSRB) was established in the year 2014 by Bala Vikasa Social Service Society with the mission to accelerate sustainable development through nurturing social innovation and promoting Responsible Business. Bala Vikasa CSRB was envisioned to build bridges between conventional forms of philanthropic work and financially sustainable development approaches and practices. In other words, to combine the seemingly opposite agendas of social good and profitability through innovative program designs and business models.

Bala Vikasa CSRB is uniquely positioned to offer valuable insights and hand holding support to all stakeholders in impact space due to Bala Vikasa’s longstanding credibility and experience as a pioneering Community-Driven Sustainable Development organization having many innovative programs with wide-reaching impact to its name.

Large scale enterprises and corporates could benefit from this in designing and implementing effective and efficient CSR programs aimed at long term sustainable development and in utilizing their CSRs funds more strategically, and in complete harmony with organization’s direct or indirect stakeholders.

Believing that Social Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation are sustainable alternative modes of development and economic growth, Bala Vikasa integrated these into the mandate of Bala Vikasa CSRB. Bala Vikasa CSRB is striving to emerge as the biggest social startup incubator in the country through different programs and initiatives.

Social startups could benefit from capacity building and incubation programs in addition to leveraging Bala Vikasa’s larger ecosystem that includes institutional partners, cross-functional networks and access to large rural markets, as Bala Vikasa’s presence, through its programs, extends to over 6000+ villages across India. Established connections with highly experienced development professionals, both in-house and external, provide a great support system in the form of mentors and trainers to help them achieve their mission.
