According to 2011 census, 12.2% (43.04 lakh) out of 3.52 crore population in Telangana state are differently abled; suffering from disabilities like epilepsy, vision, hearing, and physical impairments. One of the challenges they often face is finding a job. When Khaleel Ahmed and VV Sai Yasaswi came across this data and witnessed a few live examples in front of them, they decided to aid this section of the society in making their lives better. With this vision, she established Helpcaps.
Intend: Helpcaps is an exclusive portal that provides information about opportunities in education, scholarship, vocational training, business, and assistance in job search to differently abled individuals for free. Employers can post jobs online as per their requirement and candidate can check these jobs as per their need and abilities.
Idea: Helpcaps’ mission is to empower differently abled individuals socially as well as economically and create awareness about the available and potential opportunities in sectors like medicine, healthcare, vocational training, hospitality, Government and Private companies, scholarship avenues, and Government schemes and skill development initiatives. They are bringing all this information at one online portal and also making job application easy by leveraging technology. Helpcaps estimates that in next 3 years 1,000 differently abled people will get benefited through this portal.
